Figure Drawing, All Levels

In this class, learn the beautiful language of the line in live figure drawing as well as a quick way to find shadow patterns and shapes. Emphasis will be on proportions, gesture, construction of the three dimensional form, and later details of the body. Teens/adults & all levels welcome.

Step in the shoes of the ancient masters by participating in the age old tradition of drawing and painting from life! This 3 hour session with a live model is a fun way for any and all artists to practice and hone their skills in whatever medium they wish.

This course emphasizes an academic approach to painting the live figure and the various techniques used for rendering three-dimensional form. By working with a long pose, you will be given ample time to study the shapes, values of the figure. Teens/adults & All levels welcome. (Open to Drawing)

Quick Sketch Figure Drawing

This course is an in-depth study on drawing the human figure and emphasizes the understanding of gesture, rhythm, and construction. Students will learn a simple process to draw the human figure by analyzing short, timed poses from life and acquire an understanding of figure drawing fundamentals to create works that communicate designs and ideas.

Let's find inspiration. We may visit a virtual exhibit and discuss how artists compose their images and then explore ways that you can dive into a new technique to try it for yourself. Live demonstrations will be your guide. Homework for those who want to try something new and then get feedback. Share a piece that you need help with.
