Figure Drawing is one of the best classes we offer! It all starts with drawing and after years of working with some of the greatest artists in Los Angeles, our instructor, Esmeralda Acosta, has developed a simple, accurate and easy to accomplish method of drawing the quick pose figure from life. Animators, painters anyone, who wants to improve their skills or gain new ones should take this class.

Esmeralda's demonstrations are magic - gather around and watch as she begins, step by step measuring and achieving exact proportions and gesture. You can do this too and Esmeralda's personal approach can help anyone at any level.

Sessions in this workshop involve key concepts for laying in a drawing. The class is a course about learning to see. Using lines to accurately place the lean and balance and to judge spaces, positive and negative, in a process to find the correct relationships of forms, one to another. TIme is given in class to practice these elements of drawing from a model along with guidance from the instructor, but one's improvement is definitely always enhanced with studies of these concepts from figure references outside of class. Homework is encouraged and feedback is always offered.
